This Sunday evening, we will be holding a congregational meeting for the purpose of electing a new elder and several new deacons. Elder and deacon candidates are nominated and assessed to ensure they meet the biblical qualifications of an officer in the church (see 1 Timothy 3; Titus 1). Candidates must be members who are faithful in worship, active in a Life Group, serve the congregation regularly, generous in financial support of the church's mission, embrace our value of Going either locally or abroad, and have participated in our EPC Leadership class. The candidates are:
Kyle Reichenbach (elder): Kyle and his wife, Megan, have been members of Gateway for over 15 years and attend our County Road 9 campus. They are currently leading a Life Group and serve on the Sunday morning prayer team.
Steve Towell (deacon): Steve and his wife Lisa have been a part of Gateway since the beginning and have been active in many different ministries through the years. They currently lead a Life Group, serve on the Sunday morning prayer team, as Guest Hosts and in the cafe at our County Road 9 cafe.
Scott Sharpe (deacon): Scott and his wife Kristin have been members of Gateway for the past 7 years. They lead a Life Group, serve on the Sunday morning prayer team, and Scott is a member of our County Road 9 Sunday morning tech team.
Glenn Taylor (deacon): Glenn and his wife Carol have been members of Gateway for the past 7 years. They are members of the Kiesel Life Group, and Glenn is a faithful member of our North Main campus security team.
Laura Moore (deaconess): Laura has been a member of Gateway since the beginning. She and her husband, Matthew, are active in the Buttermore Life Group, are a part of the Sunday morning prayer team, and she serves at our County Road 9 campus What’s Next wall and on the worship team.
