Medical Mask Covers Needed!

Medical personnel within the Gateway community are beginning to contact the church and make requests for their places of employment. These precious folks are on the front lines of this epidemic and are looking for a way to minister to the masses while protecting their own health, as well as the health of their families. Sew Quilt Share - a ministry partner of Gateway - is coming alongside them to help with this need. If you know how to sew, please take the time read the information below and provide this protective equipment for our healthcare workers.

So for starters, here is the pattern they have chosen to use. As with most projects, the first one may go a little slow, but once you figure out the pattern, it can easily be adapted to assembly line sewing.

We encourage you to visit the Sew Quilt Share Facebook page where you will find more detailed sewing tips and be able to connect with others who are sewing.

Here are some things to note regarding delivery:

• Please seal the masks in a Ziploc or plastic grocery bag with the number written on the outside.
• There will be a tub placed at the County Road 9 campus where the masks can be dropped off. Do not enter the building.
• Since we want to comply with current travel restrictions, you can request someone to stop by and pick them up from your front porch. Please email connect@gatewayepc.org to schedule that.
