Reopening Experiences

It's great to be together! Being almost two months in with meeting in person for worship in various forms, we want to encourage you with what people have been experiencing as they come. If you are on the fence or wondering what it has been like, keep reading. If you have a higher risk or aren’t comfortable returning yet, we understand that as well and plan to continue to worship with you online each weekend.

What was your overall impression of being in person?   

Thanks everyone for wearing masks and allowing each person to enter, sit, and exit safely.

Excitement.  

I sensed an overall sense of relief and happiness that we could see each other again. 

If you had any apprehension coming in person, what was something that you noticed that made you feel more comfortable?    

The size of the congregation was appropriate for the space we have.

The social distancing with the seating. People respecting the distancing.

What is something that you were glad to experience again in person that you missed while we were only online?  

 "Live" music and worshiping God with others. Being together with other brothers and sisters. The ability to be able to hear and see multiple people worshiping together.

I missed singing together as a body the most. Hearing Jon  and the rest of the group in person was wonderful. Singing as one was a joy. 

Any other thoughts you would want to share with someone who is trying to decide if they want to come to service right now?    

I understand the nervousness. However, if someone isn’t in a high risk situation, they should consider the need to be together as one church. Precautions have been put into place to lower the risk.

It certainly is wise to be cautious with the number of cases increasing. Worshiping from home is a very good option!

I have been refreshed by being able to get to worship again with our congregation.

Also starting next week, August 16, Kidway will resume in a limited capacity, so watch for an update video on that same page with what that will look like. The following week, August 23 the middle school class will also resume.
