Can you imagine all the fun that was had at our Back to School Bash? There were free haircuts, school supplies, bouncy houses, food, and great fellowship. Two years ago, we partnered with Jacobs Primary School as they hosted a Back to School Bash. This summer, we wanted to offer this event again in the same neighborhood.
Our goal for the Back to School Bash was to help get kids and families excited to start school while providing for some needs.
This event would never have been able to run as smoothly as it did without the many volunteers who served. We had bags prepacked of school supplies, amazing teams that helped set up, tear down, and provide food. The hands that helped serve that day were able to love on the people that showed up.
Getting to watch everyone interact made my heart so full. There was a mother and son who were just at the park to play that afternoon who decided to stay, and they had so much joy during the event. Another father was so excited to see his son playing with friends from school and also to be able to sit well during his haircut. Many families were blessed by this simple day in the park.
