On August 11, we had our 2nd annual Kidway Family Campout. It ended up being a great evening despite the uncertainty of the weather. Many families came together for an evening of connecting with each other and making memories together. After all the tents were set up and ready for the night, we enjoyed a campfire, s’mores, games, and sang some fun camp songs. The kids loved riding their bikes and scooters around in the parking lot and playing with their friends.
Here’s what a few of our families had to say about the evening:
Courtney: “Gathering around the fire was a great way to connect and have conversation. My kids enjoy the freedom to safely roam and play.”
Brittany: “It was great being at the campfire enjoying s’mores and music with others. The kids loved riding their bikes giving great uninterrupted conversations.”
Adrienne: “The campout was a great time of fellowship with other Gateway Church families. It’s informal enough to allow for authentic connection. My kids loved the marshmallows, bike riding and parachute games.”
Brittany: “It was great seeing people that we don’t see that often and get to gather with friends. It’s a great way to connect with other families during a relaxed and cozy setting. It’s a fun experience for the whole family, especially the kids. The kids get to bond with other friends during bike riding, fire and s’more making.”
