HOW YOU CAN HELP IN THE AFTERMATH OF HURRICANE HELENE
Hurricane Helene made landfall in late September 2024, causing devastating and catastrophic damage in multiple southern states. Many residents were displaced, businesses destroyed, and critical infrastructure lost due to the storm. Gateway Church supports several organizations already working in those states to provide essential aid and relief to people affected. Below, you'll find partner links you can use to help support disaster relief efforts. One of our values is to be a generous church; please consider donating to one of our partners.
Samaritan’s Purse is responding to the most recent disasters and has work sites all over the affected area. You can help by donating your time on one of their work crews or your money to support their efforts, or you can join them in prayer as they minister to those they are serving and caring for. Below is a link to their page, where you can get involved in whatever way you feel led. Thank you in advance for being the hands and feet of Jesus.
Some EPC churches and their people have seen the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The EPC Disaster Relief has concluded that the best way to help is to donate. The immediate need is money. As they figure out the next steps, they will communicate how else EPC churches can help with other donations like tarps, food, water, etc. Presently, they cannot get those items to the affected areas.
There will also be an opportunity to send teams to help with the recovery, but that timing is still being determined. We will send updates as we receive them. Please visit the following link for information on how to donate to the relief efforts.
ReachGlobal Crisis Response is mobilizing to support EFCA churches as they share the love of Christ in affected communities. While washed out roads, power outages and disrupted cell service have slowed the ability to assess the situation and connect with churches, Crisis Response staff are currently visiting sites in Florida and North Carolina.
30-Day prayer guides can be picked up in your campus lobby.
