More than 1,800 people attended Gateway's Dedication Sunday and launch of the new Children's Ministry Kidway program. The "Making Room For Others" Building Campaign began in the Fall of 2012. With the target of just over $5.2 million, Gateway raised the funds needed to build the 30,000 foot expansion project that includes a new worship center with over 1,000 seats.
On May 1, 2014, church leaders broke ground for the project and on August 2, 2015 the church held the first services in the new worship center. While the project took many dollars, it also took many hands. On Dedication Sunday, a special insert listed many of the people who contributed their time to the project. In addition to celebrating the opening of the new facility, attendees enjoyed fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.
