Next Gen Volunteer Spotlight

This week for our Next Gen Volunteer Spotlight, we’d like to introduce you to Erin Buttermore. Erin and her husband, Matt, have attended Gateway for 8-9 years and have 3 kids - Colten, Weston and Whitley. Erin has served as an elementary Small Group leader for 2 years now, but served as a summer and substitute Sunday school teacher prior to joining the Kidway team as a full time leader. Initially, Erin signed up to serve in Kidway because she felt God was tugging on her heart and encouraging her to take the next step in serving, but she sticks with it because she loves seeing kids’ innocence and their excitability when learning about God. If someone has been considering serving in our Next Gen ministry, but hasn’t jumped in yet, Erin’s advice is that “you will never regret serving God’s kingdom and bringing up the next generation to love Him. When you take that next step, God will definitely grow you!” When she isn’t teaching her group of first graders, Erin enjoys watching sports, spending time with her family and trying new recipes.
