DNA, short for deoxyribonucleic acid, is the molecule that contains the genetic code of organisms, including human beings.  Each person has a one-of-a-kind DNA, so unique that it can be used in police investigations.  A person’s DNA is a reliable forensic tool, not unlike fingerprints.  DNA also links people together as members of the same family.  Your brother’s DNA, for example, can prove that you are indeed related.  DNA tests can also determine your ancestry—whether you are Irish or German, West Africa or East Africa!  DNA is your identity!

This weekend marks our launching of a new campus (North Main) and the beginning of a new series of messages titled “Our DNA”.  It’s a look at who we are as the Gateway Church, what our DNA reveals.  It’s an exciting and provocative way to begin a whole new chapter in the life of our church—but it’s the same DNA, a DNA that connects us with a world-wide family and an ancient ancestry.
