Thank You, Scott!

We are both excited and sad to announce that earlier this month, Scott Long, Gateway’s Administrative Pastor, accepted a new position at a local non-profit agency called Anhedonia. While it is difficult to lose such an integral member of our staff team, we are thrilled for Scott to be moving into a role that is perfectly aligned with his gifts and passions.

Scott, his wife Tracy, and their two children Evan and Kendra, have been longtime members of our Gateway family, with Scott joining the staff 9 years ago. During his time on staff, Scott was involved in many aspects of our church life including overseeing our First Impressions ministries, leading our most recent building project, counseling, and generally keeping our staff running smoothly.

Anhedonia is an organization that focuses on substance abuse recovery. Scott will be able to use his passions as an addiction counselor. The Longs still plan to remain a part of our Gateway body, so as you see him around, please join us in thanking Scott for his faithful service. Please also be praying for Scott, Tracy and the kids as they navigate through this exciting time of transition.
