Our Life Group is studying through the book of Ephesians. This past week, we read Ephesians 2:12 where it says that we were strangers to the covenants of promise. Why is “covenants” plural and not singular? As believers, are we now part of all the Old Testament covenants and not just the new covenant? (2:10)
Could you explain why in most of the OT God was very specific about keeping his people separated from outsiders (I think to avoid worshiping false Gods) but then once the Holy Spirit comes, it’s a complete 180 for God's people and now they are to go spread the gospel to the Gentiles? Basically why was God so adamant about separating his people before Jesus if everybody is welcome after? (6:45)
