In the wake of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, apart from a medical trip to the Dominican Republic, Gateway’s planned mission trips have successively been canceled or postponed. We would like to update you on the current status of our Go ministry trips and add that not all is lost. Gateway has been investing in our partners and more for the sake of the Gospel.

In lieu of ministering personally on mission trips, Gateway has been sending the funds that we would have spent on the trips to the local ministries in their respective countries and locales. For many of them, this is a major encouragement in the face of coronavirus economic realities. They have profusely thanked Gateway, and we would like to extend those thanksgivings on to you who have made those gifts possible.

While most of these trips have been postponed to next year, there is much to be learned regarding when and how future mission trips will be possible. A solution to the pandemic is primary. However, the future of international travel continues to be a question the world and its countries will need to answer. If international arrival quarantines become commonplace, the future of short term international trips look bleak. We will trust that God has this all in His control and will endeavor to be a blessing financially and personally to the world around us for the sake of connecting people to Jesus Christ.

Finally, Gateway continues to have the privilege of supporting many, many more ministries and missionaries locally, regionally and internationally. If you would like to know more about Gateway’s Go partnerships, you can learn more here and please do not hesitate to ask for more information. If you are interested in participating with any Local Go projects, such as Backyard Missions on August 1, definitely ask. Thank you for your part in connecting people to Jesus Christ via Gateway’s Go ministry.
