Since 2023 Kidway has partnered with the Findlay Women’s Resource Center in collecting and donating pajamas during Spring Forward time change. All of Gateway Church was encouraged to bring in pajamas of any kid's size to church. Kids, and adults, were also invited to wear their pajamas to church that Sunday. This year we brought in 198 sets of pajamas. We are so thankful to everyone who participated and donated.
We desire that the kids who attend Gateway experience and see real ways that we can go into the world by equipping, partnering with, and sending members to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. That may not be sending a 4 year old on a mission trip, but there are ways we can Go in a way that is appropriate for our kids and give glimpses of Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Out of our love for Jesus, we are called to do good works and show that we are the workmanship and creation of Jesus Christ. We are so blessed to have a congregation who sees the needs in our community and is willing to give their time, talents, and finances as a way to go out in the world and care for others.
The Women’s Resource Center’s purpose is to help those facing unplanned pregnancies find information and resources to make confident and life-affirming choices. They provide various services including pregnancy tests, limited obstetric ultrasounds, a points program, ongoing reproductive care education, parenting classes, relationship coaching, mentoring, and Bible studies; all of which are free and confidential services.
