Rooted Parent Podcast

Emily Peters, North Main Kidway Director & Assistant Youth Director

Since the pandemic, the term ‘new normal’ has been a frequent topic of discussion. We have new normals at work, new normals for school, and even new normals for how we grocery shop. While grocery pick-ups and online shopping are a favored new normal for many, what are the ‘new normal’ trends in mental health that are observed in this post-Covid world? What is the long-term effect of isolation as a result of quarantine?

Rooted Ministries seeks to equip and empower churches and parents to faithfully disciple students toward lifelong faith in Jesus Christ. Through articles or various podcast series, this ministry wants to provide churches and caregivers with the tools needed to disciple their teens well. Their ‘Rooted Parents’ podcast brings in a licensed professional counselor to discuss trends in teen mental health in the post-pandemic world.

Since Covid, teenagers are more frequently disappointed and afraid to hope. Learn more by listening to this week’s resource that shares insight on how to disciple the teen you love by teaching them to lament in their sadness and hope in the lasting love of Jesus.
